Butt joints: these are mainly used in the wooden joints, these are used mostly when there is no overlapping of the wooden material. These are used when these joints are simply glued and wooden parts are nailed together. These are better to be avoided as they are not proper to hold on for a longer time thus the parts may soon deteriorate and the furniture may damage.

The other important factor that should be kept in mind when you are planning to decide the foundation of your furniture, that factor is the glides that are used in the drawers. These things really check the durability factor of the furniture thus are utmost important. The splitting apart of the joints and also the wood work mostly depends on them, so they should be properly maintained.
